From Executive Director David Madden:Dear IGC Pre-Tour Families,Thanks so much for being a great group of families to get to explore Bangkok (and Ayutthaya) with! We hope you have enjoyed a great pre-tour and look forward to sharing all the fun of IGC with you over the coming week. Please note the following brief announcements about tomorrow's optional Chatuchak Market visit in the morning, along with your travels to Khao Lak:1. Those interested in visiting Chatuchak Market on the optional Day D itinerary, please meet at 7:15 am in the lobby of the Holiday Inn Express and 7:30 at the lobby of the Shangri-La Hotel. We will go the market by van and return by 11:00am for hotel check-out. No formal sign up is required, but please be on time, since we have a narrow window of time for the market visit.2. Please make sure you have the correct airport for your flight to Phuket. Both Don Mueang Airport (DMK) and Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) offer service from Bangkok to Phuket. Please check your ticket to make sure you are at the correct airport before you leave your hotels.3. Please allow at least 3 hours between when you leave your hotel and your flight departure time. Traffic in Bangkok is unpredictable, and while it could take 40 minutes to get to the airport, it could also take 2 hours.4. If it is possible, please check in for IGC tomorrow. While check in will be open on July 5 before the Opening Ceremony, it will be much better if you can do so as soon as you have checked into the hotel tomorrow. Thanks again to Jeff, Ivy, Paam, and Pob for all their work in putting the tour together, and to Grayson, Jotun, and Fa for staffing as well. See you soon in Khao Lak for IGC!Best,David#igc2026 #igcthailand

From our Executive Director:Dear IAC Pre-Tour Families,We hope you've had a great second day on the Pre-Tour (and a chance to dry out this evening!). Tomorrow, everyone is going to Ayutthaya and our meeting times are 7:45am at the Holiday Inn Express and 7:55am at the Shangri-La. Be sure to pack a pair of pants / shoulder covering as we will be visiting various temples throughout the day. If possible, it would be helpful to have the same groups we've had the past two days each be on one of the two buses as this will help facilitate the age division splits for the Transportation and East Asian Cities Bees tomorrow. And if you have raingear / an umbrella, don't forget to bring that too!See you in the morning for the final full day of the Pre-Tour - we've had a great time showing you Bangkok the past two days, and look forward to a great last full day tomorrow!Best,DavidPS. If any of your families have photos / videos you'd like to share with our social media team, please send them to my colleague Kiersten Brown at kiersten@iacompetitions.com !

Testimonials

“This is my first medal for IHO 25, and also that of my entire IAC career, which I am absolutely thrilled to receive. With a trading strategy (Forming a Eurozone treasury monopoly), teamwork, speed, and some crazy extravagant Italian acting, I managed to secure this bronze medal. Apart from this, I would like to thank my teammates, Olivia and Renita, for their meticulous cooperation.
I’ve been playing IHBB and IHO for 2 years, and this community with a shared commitment to academic excellence truly gave me a sense of belonging, in which I meet and learn from cool people, and am then introduced to novel perspectives.”
Thomas Xu, China
